Former Xavier University basketball star Tu Holloway's signing this week with Hapoel Holon, a basketball club in Holon, Israel, doesn't make him a teammate of former backcourt mate and fellow New York native Mark Lyons, but they are playing in the same city. In fact, they are now essentially crosstown rivals.
Lyons signed with Hapoel Tel Aviv in December. Holon is just a few minutes south of Tel Aviv.
The two teams are scheduled to meet Feb. 26.
The 27-year-old Holloway joins Villanova's James Bell and Wisconsin's Jordan Taylor among others on Hapoel Holon.
