Xavier, Georgetown postponed next week due to COVID in the Hoyas' program

Xavier University's men's basketball team is stuck in a COVID-19 holding pattern at the moment.

The Big East Conference announced Wednesday that next week's game against Georgetown has been postponed due to COVID issues within Georgetown's program.

The Musketeers are currently in a pause of their own, which caused its last two scheduled games against Seton Hall and UConn to be postponed.

This is now the third straight postponement for Xavier, a team that hasn't played since a Jan. 10 win over Providence.

Xavier (10-2, 3-2 Big East) isn't scheduled to play again until Jan.
