Xavier's first matchup in the 2019 Charleston Classic will be in game #3 on November 21 against the Towson Tigers. Towson went 18-14 last year, including a disappointing 8-10 mark in Colonial Athletic play. They bring back a veteran squad led by four returning seniors. They're projected at 146th in the nation in Bart Torvik's preseason rankings. We'll break them down further in our annual Know Your Non-conference Opponent Series.
According to Torvik's projections, which are pretty much the numbers we have to work with until KenPom rolls out his preseason rankings, the field is fairly strong.
