CINCINNATI - The Xavier women's tennis team start the spring by travelling to East Lansing, Mich., to take on the Michigan State Spartans on Friday, Jan. 19. The Musketeers faced the Spartans last year, but fell 5-2.
Coach Doug Matthews said about facing the Spartans, "We have played Michigan State the last couple of years. They are always very solid and disciplined. We need to play win, but also play within ourselves."
Xavier has a deep roster, returning six of the nine players from last year's team. The team is led by senior Lauren Ghidotti and junior Sophia Abelsion.
