ORLANDO, Fla. – Women's tennis fell to James Madison on Wednesday night, 5-1. The match only consisted of singles matches. Doubles play could not take place due to weather. The Musketeer's only win came from Ahmeir Kyle at No. 1 singles.
The freshman won the first set 6-2, just before dropping the second set 2-6. Kyle came from behind to clinch the third set victory 6-2, earning a point for Xavier.
Sophia Abelson was at No. 2 singles where she claimed the first set 7-5. Abelson lost the second set 4-6, forcing a third set.
