CINCINNATI - Xavier women's soccer (10-7-2, 4-3-2 BIG EAST) earned it's first-ever result against a top-five team on Thursday, playing the No. 4 Georgetown Hoyas to a 0-0 draw through double-overtime to close out the regular season. The draw ended a 14-game winning streak for the unbeaten Hoyas (15-0-3, 8-0-1 BIG EAST) and secured home-field advantage for the BIG EAST Quarterfinals for the first time since joining the conference in 2013.
Georgetown held a 5-2 advantage on shots in the first half, but the Musketeers came out of the break pressuring for a goal, creating a number of dangerous chances in the final 65 minutes, outshooting the Hoyas 11-4 overall and 3-1 on looks on frame after halftime.
