JOHNS CREEK, Ga. - Xavier women's golf placed won the Georgia State Invitational for the second straight season on Tuesday afternoon. The two-day tournament was played at Rivermont Golf Club.
The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 909 (+45) to win the title, one stroke ahead of runner-up Eastern Kentucky (910, +46). Xavier now has seven top-two finishes dating back to the spring of 2021 (four tournament titles; three runner-up finishes).
Freshman Kara Carter paced the Musketeers with an eighth-place finish (224, +8), her fifth top-10 finish of the season. Senior Abby Kiefer placed tied for ninth with a score of 225 (+9), her highest finish of the season.
