KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Xavier women's golf placed fifth at the Palmetto Intercollegiate hosted by the College of Charleston. The two-day tournament was held at Kiawah Island Resort – Turtle Point.
The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 879 (+15), ranking fifth in a field of 16 teams. Freshman Kara Carter posted her second top-five finish in as many tournaments, pacing the Musketeers with a fourth-place finish (212, -4).
North Florida won the tournament, recording a 54-hole score of 856 (-8). Sam Houston State's Zulaikah Nasser recorded a 54-hole score of 206 (-10) to rank first in a field of 86 golfers.
