BRONX, N.Y. - Xavier cross country competed at the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships on Friday, Oct. 28 at Van Cortlandt Park. The Xavier women placed sixth, while the men's squad took eighth, respectively.
The Providence women won the championship meet for the second consecutive season, while Villanova's Angel Piccirillo captured the individual title. The No. 4 Friars were one of two nationally ranked teams at the meet on the women's side.
No. 23 Georgetown captured the men's title for the second straight season, while the individual champion was Villanova's Patrick Tiernan for the fourth consecutive season.
