WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Xavier men's tennis returned to action this weekend in the Purdue Invitational Draws. The Musketeers were among 19 total schools competing this weekend in six singles flights and three doubles flights. Jan Vrba won Flight D Singles following four straight wins over Purdue NW, Army, Niagara and Valparaiso.
Flight A Singles
Srdan Pejic defeated Franz Luna of Purdue 4-6, 2-6(3), 6-3 before losing to Louisville in the second round, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Flight B Singles
Brett Winters defeated Will Harper of Dayton 6-0, 4-6, 6-3 and then defeated Gabriel Carvajal of Valparaiso, 7-6(4), 6-4.
