CINCINNATI – After an exhilirating walk-off win, courtesy of senior catcher Dan Rizzie, Xavier baseball continues BIG EAST Championship play in the winner's bracket on Friday night at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium.
The Musketeers will take on No. 2 seed Creighton, which also advanced with a dramatic ninth inning rally.
Xavier enters the game 28-28 overall, winners in 14 of 16 and as BIG EAST regular season champions – following a 14-4 run through conference play.
• Xavier has turned its season around over the last five weeks, claiming five consecutive series against conference foes for the first time since winning five straight in 2011.
