It's not often for Cintas Center to host two top-20 teams in the Associated Press poll, but that's what will happen on Wednesday night (6:30 p.m., Fox Sports 1) when No. 14 Villanova visits No. 17 Xavier.
The Wildcats and Musketeers met three weeks ago at Finneran Pavilion and for the first 20 minutes, Xavier looked like the superior team, but over the last 20 minutes, Villanova made the right plays and Xavier lacked an appropriate response.
Even though the first meeting resulted in a loss, it was a valuable lesson for the Musketeers. Xavier learned it can play with Villanova and the Musketeers also learned a partial performance isn't enough to get the job done.
