Xavier's men's basketball team will be without two freshmen and a walk-on to start the season.
Freshmen Colby Jones and C.J. Wilcher, as well as walk-on Spencer Cody, are in quarantine due to contact tracing, The Enquirer confirmed about 90 minutes before Xavier's season-opener with Oakland Wednesday at Cintas Center.
Xavier released a statement Tuesday night that said, "Three of our men's basketball student-athletes were placed in quarantine earlier this week tied to close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. The contact was not tied to any activities related to our men's basketball program.
