Cal Baptist transfer Taran Armstrong, a 6-foot-6 point guard considered by many to be one of the best passers in college basketball, is considering Xavier among four finalists, according to a report Friday night via Twitter from On3sports' Joe Tipton.
Tipton also reports that Gonzaga and Big East rivals Creighton and Providence are finalists, and that Armstrong hasn't visited or scheduled visits to any schools.
Armstrong, who is from Australia and played at the NBA Global Academy there, has played the past two seasons at the WAC school. He averaged 11.
