Takeaways: What we learned from Xavier basketball's win over DePaul

CHICAGO, Ill. – No team's immune to poor performances, especially on the road.

Being able to win those games, though, can make a monumental difference at the end of the season.

DePaul played a better basketball game than Xavier on Wednesday night at Wintrust Arena, yet the Musketeers pulled off a Danny Ocean-level heist to steal it, 68-67.

"It wasn't pretty at all, it was rather ugly at times for us," Xavier head coach Travis Steele said after the game.

The problems started for Xavier on the glass. The Musketeers knew DePaul likes to attack the offensive glass, and the Blue Demons did just that with 16 offensive rebounds.
