Saturday wasn’t Xavier’s first loss, but it was the first time this season that the Musketeers really faded away down the stretch.
In its previous three losses to Wisconsin, Auburn and San Diego State, Xavier stayed in the fight until the end.
In the Crosstown Shootout, though, Xavier seemed to disappear while Cincinnati was building its lead in the second half.
It's disconcerting when that happens in any game, even more so when it's a rivalry game.
