CINCINNATI --- Xavier University graduate student Souley Boum is on the U.S. Basketball Writers Association's Oscar Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List. The USBWA's list, which was announced today, highlights 50 outstanding players.
Boum leads No. 8 Xavier in scoring at 16.9 ppg., which ranks second in the BIG EAST Conference. He is second on the team and seventh in the BIG EAST in assists at 4.9 apg.
Since the 1958-59 season, the USBWA has named a National Player of the Year. In 1998, the award was named in honor of Hall of Famer and two-time USBWA Player of the Year Oscar Robertson.
