SPRINGFIELD, MASS. --- The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced today that Xavier University graduate student Souley Boum is among the Top 10 candidates for the 2023 Bob Cousy Award. Named after Class of 1971 Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic and Holy Cross guard Bob Cousy, the annual honor, now in its 20th year, recognizes the top point guard in Division I men's college basketball.
Boum, who is listed on the U.S. Basketball Writers Association's Oscar Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List, also earned Midseason All-America Second Team from The Sporting News and College Hoops Today.
