CINCINNATI --- Xavier University senior guard has been selected to the All-BIG EAST Conference Second Team by the league coaches. Teammate , a sophomore forward, joins Scruggs on the Second Team. Guard is on the All-Freshman Team.
Scruggs leads the BIG EAST and is 15 in the nation in assists at 5.8 apg. Scruggs, who is second on the team and 11 in the BIG EAST in scoring at 14.2 ppg., has come up big on the defensive end as well, ranking third in the BIG EAST in steals at 1.6 spg.
Scruggs, who is 30 on Xavier's all-time scoring list with 1,236 points, was a preseason Second Team All-BIG EAST selection.
