SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Xavier women's basketball dropped a 58-53 road contest at Seton Hall on Friday night. The Musketeers moved to 9-14 (2-10 BIG EAST), while the Pirates improved to 14-9 (6-6 BIG EAST).
Xavier erased an eight-point halftime deficit to lead by as many as seven points late in the third quarter before the Pirates battled back late in the fourth quarter to escape with the win.
• The opening quarter had two ties and two lead changes. Seton Hall led 11-8 with 1:27 on the clock before the Musketeers used a 5-0 run to close the frame and take a 12-11 lead.
