College basketball officially returns to Xavier University's Cintas Center Tuesday night in a season-opener against the Horizon League's IUPUI (8:30 p.m., FS2).
Travis Steele's coaching debut will try to keep a few impressive Musketeer streaks alive. Xavier's won 28 consecutive season openers since 1989 and 39 straight non-conference home games dating back to December 2012.
The biggest question for Xavier going into its opener is who will be on the floor. The Musketeers were without two key players – point guard Quentin Goodin and forward/center Zach Hankins – in last Thursday's exhibition against Kentucky Wesleyan, and there was a big development over the weekend when forward Naji Marshall missed practice on Saturday and Sunday with a reported illness.
