Naji Marshall and Quentin Goodin spoke to reporters after near triple-doubles in a Xavier win over Eastern Kentucky Saturday night Adam Baum, abaum@enquirer.com
COLUMBIA, MISSOURI – The first true road test of Xavier's season was a short, 2.4-mile bus ride that, from the Musketeer perspective, didn't end well.
Xavier's hoping Tuesday's road test (7 p.m., ESPNU) at Missouri – the Musketeers' penultimate challenge on the non-conference schedule – allows a bit of confidence and momentum with the Big East schedule less than two weeks away.
Missouri (6-3) has won three in a row and stylistically, the Tigers are much slower and more deliberate than Xavier's last opponent, Eastern Kentucky.
