NEW YORK - Senior Samson Sergi was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. The forward scored three goals last week as the Musketeers posted a 2-0 record.
Sergi helped the Musketeers post 3-0 win over Eastern Illinois on Sept. 2 and a 2-1 win over Cincinnati in the Crosstown Derby on Sept. 6. He finished the week with nine shots (six on goal). Sergi now has a team-leading four goals on the season.
Matthew Rosenberg was also named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
