NORFOLK – Xavier baseball standout Rylan Bannon was promoted in the Orioles organization on Tuesday, moving up to Triple-A Norfolk Tides from Double-A Bowie.
The 2017 BIG EAST Player of The Year was an eighth-round selection in the 2017 First Year Player Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers and was traded to the Orioles organization in 2018, closing out the season with the Double-A Bowie Baysox.
For the Baysox this season, Bannon appeared in 110 games, hitting .255 with 22 doubles, four triples and eight home runs for 42 RBI.
