CINCINNATI --- Xavier University sophomore guard Paul Scruggs has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for his efforts in the wins over Georgetown and Butler this past week. Scruggs averaged 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.5 blocks for the two games.
Scruggs took over the starting point guard position the last two games for the injured Quentin Goodin and played 40 minutes in each game.
Scruggs, who has scored in double figures in five straight games, has reached doubles figures in a team-high 14 games.
