NEW YORK - After scoring the game-winner in No. 19 Xavier women's soccer's 3-0 win over St. John's, senior midfielder was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced on Monday.
Lawson, originally from Louisville, Ky., scored the game-winner in the 17th minute, after getting the ball from off a corner kick from . The goal was her first as a Musketeer, and combined with an assist, gives her three points on the season.
Lawson played 67 minutes in the backfield for the Musketeers in Xavier's lone match last week, helping limit the Red Storm to just three shots on goal as Xavier picked up its ninth shutout of the season.
