Big East Conference play – the true proving ground for Xavier basketball – has arrived.
The Musketeers kick off league play Wednesday against unranked Marquette at the BMO Harris Bradley Center (8:30 p.m. EST).
Like all Big East battles – and they truly are battles – the game itself won't make or break Xavier's season. That said, Marquette is ranked No. 49 nationally, according to Ken Pomeroy's current rankings, and a Top 50 road win would be a nice tack-on to an already robust Musketeers March Madness resume.
Xavier’s resume is right on time, if not ahead of schedule.
