The 2017-18 Xavier Musketeers didn't set out to claim a No. 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament, but they'd rather not part with it now that bracketology experts say one is within their grasp.
While pulling a one-seed for the tournament wasn't a stated goal the Musketeers (27-4, 15-3 Big East) set for themselves before the season, it certainly represents a better quality of life and a slightly easier road in the nerve-racking postseason.
