CINCINNATI - No. 19 Xavier men's soccer played Providence to a scoreless draw on Saturday night at Corcoran Field.
The Musketeers moved to 9-1-6 (3-1-5 BIG EAST), while the Friars moved to 4-4-7 (2-2-5 BIG EAST).
Following the tie, Xavier has officially qualified for the six-team BIG EAST Tournament - advancing to postseason play for the first time since 2018. The tournament bracket will be announced following the conclusion of the regular season on Nov. 2.
• Providence took two more shots (11-9) than Xavier, while the Musketeers took one more shot on goal (6-5).
