INDIANAPOLIS u2012 Xavier's men's basketball team played one of its worst games of the season and paid the price on Friday night in a 69-67 loss at Butler.
Xavier, ranked No. 13 in the Associated Press poll, essentially wasted the entire first half with its worst shooting performance of any half this season, a season-low 21 points, and added 11 turnovers on top of it.
Xavier finished with 18 turnovers.
The 35-21 halftime hole Xavier dug ultimately did the Musketeers in.
Xavier responded in the second half to make it a game and the final minute was filled with drama.
