CINCINNATI - Ahead of the start of the 2021 season, Xavier women's soccer head coach Nate Lie announced additions to his staff. Katy Etelman joins Xavier as an assistant coach, while Tyler Smaha, who served as Xavier's Director of Player Development last season, also moves into the role of assistant coach. Jacob Morrison joins Xavier as the Director of Goalkeeping and Kaitlyn Jones joins Lie's staff as Director of Player Analysis/Operations.
Katy Etelman comes to Xavier from Ball State where she spent three season after joining the staff in March 2018 and helped guide the Cardinals to an overall record of 35-11-4 (23-6-2 MAC) and two of the program's three all-time appearances in the MAC Championship during her time there.
