CINCINNATI – Xavier's four-game winning streak ended on Saturday with 62-47 loss to Cincinnati in the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout at Fifth Third Arena. and each hit double figures to lead the Musketeers, who trailed by as few as four early in the second half before Cincinnati pulled away.
- Xavier opened up with a 2-0 lead on Tyrique Jones basket, trading one-point leads with the Bearcats over the next five minutes until consecutive buckets for UC put Xavier behind three, 9-6, with six minutes gone from the half.
- Cincinnati led by as many as four before seven-straight points, including a pair of threes, put the Musketeers back in the lead, 13-10.
