BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – After three 30-minute periods, Xavier women's soccer finished its first match-up against outside competition in a 1-1 draw at Bowling Green. The Musketeers' first official contest will be August 18 at 6:00 p.m. when Xavier hosts Cleveland State at the XU Soccer Complex.
The first 30-minute period finished with the two teams still knotted at 0-0. Xavier's offense created four shots, including three on frame, and forced a pair of corner kicks in the first 30 minutes.
In the second period, BGSU turned up the pressure, taking four shots in the first 10 minutes, finding the back of the net in the 40th minute to take the 1-0 lead.
