NEW YORK - Junior Mikayla Fitzpatrick earned the honors of BIG EAST Golfer of the Week after the first meet of the season. She got off to a quick start, where she finished the first round at even par, then led the Musketeers to a tie for fourth at the WIlliam & Mary Invitational.
Fitzpatrick, the Phoenix, Ariz. native, finished the tournament at a tie for fourth overall. She shot 72-76-72 (220, +4) over the two-day, 54-hole invitational. She ended the meet in a tie for second in total pars at 42 and she averaged 73.
