CINCINNATI - Xavier men's soccer plays host to Kentucky on Thursday, Nov. 16 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The two teams are meting in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history.
The Musketeers enter the match with a 9-3-6 record, including a 5-0-5 mark in their last 10 contests. Kentucky is 7-7-4 on the year.
Xavier earned the automatic bid from the BIG EAST by winning the conference tournament on Sunday, Nov. 12 at the Maryland SoccerPlex on Boyds, Md. The Musketeers defeated No. 3 Georgetown, 5-4, in penalty kicks to capture the program's first BIG EAST Championship (joined the conference in 2013).
