MADISON, Wis. - The Musketeers completed their first day at Badger Invitational late this afternoon in 12th with a team score of 311 (+23). Garrett Wood led the charge for Xavier in the first round, finishing tied for 26th.
Wood shot a solid round with 15 holes at par or better, finishing with a 75 (+3). He birdied the sixth hole and parred eight of nine holes on the back nine. He leads the Musketeers in pars with 14 after the first round.
Michael Prebles led Xavier in birdies after the first round with four and finished with a 77 (+5), which left him tied for 44th.
