CINCINNATI --- The BIG EAST Conference and Big Ten Conference announced today that Xavier men's basketball will host Ohio State in the sixth annual Gavitt Tipoff Games on Thursday, Nov. 18 at Cintas Center. The Gavitt Tipoff Games is a unique early-season series played between the two conferences and named in honor of Hall of Famer Dave Gavitt, founder of the BIG EAST and basketball visionary.
Xavier has enjoyed some success in its three previous appearances in the Gavitt Tipoff Games, recording a 2-1 mark. XU won 86-70 at then-No. 24 Michigan in the 2015-16 season and won 80-70 at Wisconsin in the 2017-18 season.
