CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers host the Robert Morris University Colonials for Opening Night on Monday at 8 p.m. at Cintas Center. Xavier has won 33 straight regular season openers, including the last 23 at Cintas Center.
Xavier has 10 newcomers on the 2023-24 roster, including six freshmen and four transfers. Xavier has only two returning scholarship letterwinners on the active roster. Sophomore Desmond Claude, a member of the 2022-23 BIG EAST All-Freshman Team, is XU's top returnee. XU finished 27-10 last season and made it to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.
Head coach Sean Miller, 147-57 heading into his seventh season as the Xavier head coach, is just one win shy of tying the late Skip Prosser for third place on Xavier's all-time wins list.
