MILWAUKEE – Xavier needs a win Wednesday night against Marquette at Fiserv Forum (8 p.m.) to avoid a three-game losing streak.
The Musketeers and the Golden Eagles are each 1-3 in the Big East Conference, so this is an important game for both sides.
Marquette also swept Xavier last season, winning both meetings, and Xavier's trip to Milwaukee last year was one of the worst games the Musketeers played all season.
Xavier doesn't play its next game for a week following Marquette, so Wednesday's result is gonna linger until next Wednesday when Georgetown visits Cintas Center.
