FINAL, Villanova wins 73-57: The defending champions showed their class with a 16-point win over injury-depleted but plucky Xavier Saturday at Cintas Center.
The Musketeers were led by senior transfer forward RaShid Gaston's double-double (23 points, 10 rebounds) and junior guard J.P. Macura's 17 points on 5 of 16 shooting.
Jalen Brunson and Donte Divincenzo paced the champs with 17 points each.
