ORLANDO — Xavier men's basketball players have likely been receiving input on how best to manage the NCAA Tournament experience from a variety of sources, but the best advice they've been given so far probably came from former Musketeers great Lionel Chalmers.
Chalmers, who is retired from professional basketball at present and makes his home in Orlando, visited with No. 11-seeded Xavier (21-13) this week ahead of its Thursday night clash with No. 6-seeded Maryland (24-8).
Chalmers offered encouragement and tips during his visit with the team.
