CINCINNATI --- Xavier University freshman and senior both earned BIG EAST Conference honors this week.
Tandy was named BIG EAST Conference Freshman of the Week after averaging 11.0 points and 1.5 assists in wins over DePaul on Feb. 4 and Providence on Feb. 8. Tandy, who scored all 10 of his points vs. Providence in the decisive second half, has been a big key for Xavier in league play. XU has won five BIG EAST games and Tandy has averaged 13.2 ppg. for those five wins, hitting .
