NASHVILLE – The doors to Xavier basketball's temporary Bridgestone Arena locker room swung wide open. The timer on an abbreviated open locker room media availability started.
That's when the wave of reporters and TV cameras crashed upon Kerem Kanter.
Like an ocean sloshing against a jetty at high tide, Kanter absorbed the crush with comfort and ease. He was ready to receive the wave of media and justifiably so.
Kanter had been waiting for this moment his entire college basketball career, after all.
