NEW YORK - After making three appearances on the mound for the Musketeers last week, graduate student Jerry Huntzinger was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced on Monday.
Huntzinger, who has made 11 appearances on the mound in addition to playing catcher and infield, pitched a total of 4.2 innings with one earned run allowed for a 1.93 ERA through his three appearances last week. In total, Hunztinger struck out nine batters while only allowing three hits and two walks.
