It was close and uncomfortable for most of the afternoon Saturday as Xavier University struggled to put away the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, 73-63, in the Cintas Center.
Xavier led for most of the game but the offense was sporadic, void of any reason rhythm or flow.
The Musketeers closed the game on a 6-0 run over the final minute and a half.
Xavier can thank its free-throw shooting for the win.
