'I just felt so much love.' Why Nate Johnson wanted to return to Xavier basketball next season

Nate Johnson had a meeting on the books with Xavier men's basketball coach Travis Steele on Tuesday. Every season always ends with Steele meeting his players one-on-one to discuss the season, the future, and in the case of seniors, it's usually one last chance for Steele to say goodbye and show his appreciation for their efforts before they depart for the next chapter of their lives.

Johnson's meeting wasn't goodbye, though. It was, I'll be seein' ya, coach.

Johnson, a senior graduate transfer from Gardner-Webb who joined the Musketeers prior to last season, informed Steele that he will return next season (2021-22) and take advantage of the free year of eligibility offered by the NCAA because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
