INDIANAPOLIS – Senior guard Raeshaun Gaffney posted her second career double-double and the Musketeers outscored Butler, 19-4, in the fourth quarter to pull out a 53-43 win at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.
The Musketeers (11-12, 3-9 BIG EAST) held the Bulldogs (5-18, 2-10 BIG EAST) to only field goal in the fourth quarter, coming with only 41 seconds left in regulation. Xavier snapped its seven-game losing streak with the win.
Saturday's game was back-and-forth as it featured five ties and 10 lead changes.
