Less than a year ago, Xavier basketball faced the indignity of being convincingly swept by the Marquette Golden Eagles over two games in Big East play.
Now, Xavier's looking for swift payback.
Last year, Marquette first trounced Xavier on its home floor. Later, they crashed the Musketeers' senior night celebrations by winning, 95-84, in yet another convincing win by the Golden Eagles program.
Even with Xavier stealing a win at Marquette on the opening night of Big East play this season, the thirst for revenge against the Golden Eagles hasn't come close to being quenched.
