Former Xavier University basketball forward Kaiser Gates was one of four players waived Saturday by the NBA's Chicago Bulls.
Gates only played in one of the Bulls' five preseason games. He made his only shot attempt, a 3-pointer.
In September, Gates - undrafted this past June - agreed to a training-camp deal with the Bulls after averaging 6.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in 14 minutes per game in three games for their NBA Summer League team.
Gates announced in May that he'd forego his senior season at Xavier to play professional basketball.
