Former Crosstown Shootout stars will return to Xavier University’s Cintas Center in July with high stakes on the line.
Both the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University are fielding teams in The Basketball Tournament (TBT), a winner-take-all event that is a 64-team single-elimination tournament with $1 million going to the winning team.
The two local teams, which are mostly comprised of former players from the Bearcats and Musketeers from the past several years, will be two of eight teams competing in a regional tournament at the Cintas Center July 18-21.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve played in front of the fans at Xavier and it will be exciting for the other guys to come back home as well,” said former Xavier star point guard Dee Davis.
